Helmut Marko is very satisfied with what
Red Bull Racing has shown so far at the
Bahrain International Circuit. Friday was dominated by
Max Verstappen, who will try to continue the same line on Saturday.
On Friday,
Red Bull Racing were lords and masters in Bahrain, earning widespread praise for both
Adrian Newey's 'brilliant' RB18 and the way Verstappen piloted it.
Damon Hill even thinks the team has something left.
Marko proud of Verstappen
Marko is happy with what he sees so far. The Red Bull chief sees his team in a good position.
"Yesterday we were faster than Ferrari.
Max was flying in the long runs. He set four laps in a row that were fast and within half a tenth of a second," the Austrian said in conversation with
Auto, Motor und Sport.
Whether Red Bull can continue Friday's strong form will become clear during qualifying. If the third free practice is a harbinger of that it seems to be, because also in the last practice session Verstappen has been strong so far.
