Helmut Marko is very concerned about
Red Bull Racing's chances at
Silverstone. The top adviser sees his team as too far off the pace of the leaders and expects a difficult qualifying session for
Max Verstappen and
Sergio Perez.
Marko worries about Red Bull's chances at Silverstone
Even though the third free practice session was not the most representative session for the rest of the
Formula 1 weekend, Red Bull's performance does worry Marko. "
We are nine-tenths off the best time," he concluded to
ORF.
"In the last run, where some others were faster despite light rain, we did not make any improvement. We are in a vicious circle," the 81-year-old Austrian continued. "It is difficult and we have to wait and see. Maybe we were too conservative in the whole set-up or in our whole approach. You have to experiment more with the downforce."
"
Let's see how the weather develops and then we hope we can go in the right direction," Marko added. The consultant says he does not expect a completely dry qualifying session at
Silverstone.
