Max Verstappen: "He's a fast guy"

Max Verstappen has praised his former teammate Daniel Ricciardo, saying that he deserves to be fighting at the front after his tough 2019 with Renault. Ricciardo made the brave move away from Red Bull at the end of 2018 but last year was hard for him as he scored just 54 points.
Seven time race winner Ricciardo left Red Bull in search of a team that could make him champion, having seen Verstappen force his way into the lead when the pair were teammates.
The Dutchman says that last year would have been hard for Ricciardo, telling The Age: “I know Daniel is very fast. Daniel was faster than Seb [Vettel] in the year they raced together and I've raced alongside him long enough to know that he's a very fast guy.
“I can imagine last year was not the easiest for him.
“It doesn't really matter if the sport would be in a better place, but Daniel would be in a better place if he was fighting at the front."

A backhanded compliment from the spoiled one. Get out of here you premadona.

Again, why not focus on the compliment given to Ricciardo and would you have to make it about Verstappen again. Real pity. They have remained friends and after the incidents last year their friendship only became stronger. And he only echoes the sentiment of every F1 fan: we all hope to see Ricciardo fighting in the front for a competitive team

Wb4..this fan doesn't share your enthusiastic feelings for Max. Friends or not...Max got preferential treatment from RB. A fact expressed by Daniel. No doubt in my mind Max will become a WDC...numerous times I might add. It's the people he's stepped on to get there is what I have a problem with. Enjoyed your input.

Can't argue about Max getting a preferential treatment.. even though getting denied by Horner/Marko I do think he did receive it. Although I don't feel so sure about Max becoming a world champion (numerous times), nor do I wish such a thing to happen. Even though I sense the sarcasm in your reply to have enjoyed the input I do appreciate your feedback. It adds depth to your initial post and makes me understand better where you are coming from.

Wb4...never any sarcasm from me. The posts witten by the journalists on this blog....now that's a different story. Max is the new Super Star in F1. My only rub is his personality. Keep your opinions coming. They matter.
