During qualifying in Italy, the pit lane was very crowded. Max Verstappen drove out of his narrow pit box and almost crashed into Oscar Piastri's McLaren. The Australian was released when just then the Red Bull arrived. Verstappen reacted to this moment via team radio.
The Dutchman's pit box is very narrow in the pitlane at Monza. When he drove off to set his last fast lap during Q1, the timing was not ideal. Indeed, Piastri came out of his pit box shortly after and almost drove into the Dutchman.
"Mate, we almost crashed," the Dutchman said over the board radio. "Saw that, Max'', replied his race engineer, Gianpiero Lambiase. The moment was seen by race control and the Australian is being watched.
