A nasty accident occurred during the track show prior to qualifying at
Zandvoort. Several motorcyclists performed stunts, but one motorcyclist's performance went completely wrong.
Every year, the organisers of the
Dutch Grand Prix do everything they can to entertain the people at
Circuit Zandvoort. Before qualifying, there was a show with several motorcyclists. However, things went completely wrong.
Motorcyclist accident before F1 Qualifying at Zandvoort
One of the motorcyclists tried a stunt over a ramp, releasing his handlebars mid-air. He then failed to regain control of his handlebars when he tried to retrieve them, causing a nasty fall. He was then left motionless on the tarmac.
Another motorcyclist immediately came to check on him, after which the ambulance and the
FIA medical car also rushed out. The accident site was shielded with cloths, and the motorcyclist was then taken away on a stretcher. It is unclear what the person's condition is now.
