The
Japanese Grand Prix is just around the corner and several drivers have changed their helmet designs especially for the upcoming race weekend.
Fernando Alonso and
Esteban Ocon presented their new designs, fully dedicated to the land of the rising sun, on
X (formerly Twitter).
In the past, the Grand Prix at Suzuka was already a reason for some drivers to drive with a different helmet design. For instance, we previously saw
Sebastian Vettel with a Japan design. This year too, a number of drivers are opting for a different design. Both
Fernando Alonso and
Esteban Ocon have chosen to feature the red dot from the flag of Japan prominently in their designs. Alonso also has some samurai details reflected in his helmet.
