Lando Norris is one of the
Formula 1 drivers to report to the
FIA stewards after the sprint shootout. The
McLaren driver allegedly failed to adhere to the time limit between the safety car lines, an offence committed more often in the current
F1 season.
Norris secured pole position for the sprint race at the Grand Prix weekend in Brazil, but the
McLaren driver may have to fear for that position. In that case,
Max Verstappen would start from first place, but so far, no such offence has resulted in penalties.
Yuki Tsunoda must also report for the same reason.
Fernando Alonso and
Esteban Ocon have also been put on the spot. The two former teammates hit each other when Ocon lost control of his Alpine and crashed, hitting Alonso. The Aston Martin driver was unable to continue his session.
