Quitting? 'Hamilton has many, many years left in F1'

For a long time last winter it seemed uncertain whether Lewis Hamilton would continue in Formula 1. Finally, the former champion is back in his Mercedes every race weekend. But unlike in previous years, he does not (yet) play a significant role in the battle for victories.

Fantastic shape

The story is well known by now: Mercedes has the necessary problems with the porpoising and especially because of that the car is anything but competitive. The gap to Ferrari and Red Bull seems enormous. It is easy to imagine that someone like Hamilton at this point in his career does not fancy battles in the middle or even the back of the field, as he did in Bahrain.

Team boss Toto Wolff of Mercedes let the English newspaper The Independent know that there is that there is no question of any diminished motivation on Hamilton's part. "You can only walk away if you don’t like what you do any more, but Lewis loves doing this. Lewis is in fantastic shape. His lifestyle is hugely disciplined now and he has many, many years to go," Wolff believes.

Chance of a podium

In Australia, Hamilton will start from fifth position. The Briton is still suffering from the porpoising, but thinks he has a chance for a podium finish. No doubt it helps that Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz is only starting from position nine.

Max put an end to Lewis's career in 2021.

Drama queen stories are back. When Sir Larbalestier loses or is not able to win, he suddenlly has mental problems, loses faith in FIA, hides himself somewhere in woods from all followers , thinks about retirement and repeats he gave all he got but others should do their work better.

you forget they drive dangerous or he is in the way! Lewis is used to win or fight for podium, now he is even more on the television because he wants to be in the center of attention, I will quit as soon he realises he is midfield filling

Absolutely Sir Lewis Hamilton Larbalestier, has many more years in F1. If Kimi was the benchmark and he was not half has competive as Lewis, we will be blessed to see F1s most successful driver for many years to come.

Being on constant competition mode wears you out mentally more than Kimi's "having fun" mentality. So your benchmark works actually other way around. But I agree on part that people can race in their early 40's, Alonso proves that very well.

I do agree, but with discipline and driver its possible to be competive into your 40s. Tom Brady Rossi Zlatan Tiger woods Serina Williams

@Vegan I don't think so. Lewis is fighting for the title of the most trophy-winning driver ever, and for you the best ever, and we know how he lost last year. I don't think it's acceptable for him to fight in the middle line, and that victory depends only on the DNF of leaders, without any chance of winning the championship. In such a scenario, he can only lose.

Go back and watch the 16 year career of Lewis . Its never been all rosy, he never left then and he ain't leaving now .

Really?? Ha ha. He won’t renew his contract past 2023. If he does get out qualified and out scored by Russell, he probably won’t even be.back next season. When you have been used to breezing by competitors winning races and championships, it take a lot more toil physically and mentally to have to be working so much harder just to get P5 in races.

Lol you're following the career of Lewis for how many years mate ? He has driven worst cars and had worst results and he never left. Did Kim leave ,did Vettel leave , your comments make no sense. But its your hope lol, and your biased anti Hamilton views. Lol salty mate ? ?
