The
Formula 2 free practice has been postponed and will be made up at a later date. The weather conditions in
Imola are not good enough for training at this time.
No practice for F2
The
Formula 3 still started Friday morning's practice at the
Imola circuit energetically, but that session too was flagged off early. The red flag ended the first session of the day in Italy after several crashes, but the training of F2 is even postponed. The circuit would currently not be suitable for a practice session.
The organization reports that the session will be postponed, but the question is to when. On Friday, the first free practice for
Formula 1 is also scheduled and also a qualification. The F2 and F3 must also qualify on Friday for the first race on Saturday. With F2, F3 and Porsche Supercup on the schedule it will be a big puzzle to arrange all this. The good news is that the weather will probably be better on Saturday and Sunday.
For
Formula 1, an interesting situation now follows. With the sprint race weekend ahead, there is only one practice session prior to qualifying. If VT1 cannot be run in these conditions, possibly F1's schedule will have to be changed as well.
