Daniel Ricciardo has set
Renault the aim of repeating their form of the
Canadian Grand Prix at the
French Grand Prix, an important race for Renault as it is their home Grand Prix.
Formula 1 returns to Paul Ricard for the second time since the sport returned to France, the home of Renault, last season. At last year's race, Renault secured a double points finish as
Carlos Sainz racing for Renault at the time finished eighth and
Nico Hulkenberg finished ninth. Current Renault driver
Daniel Ricciardo finished fourth in a
Red Bull.
At the last race in Canada Renault performed admirably to record their best result of the season as Ricciardo and Hulkenberg finished sixth and seventh respectively. Ricciardo wants to maintain that could form in France, the constructors' home race.
“The target for France has to be repeating the form of Canada. The team had good pace at Paul Ricard last year, so there’s certainly a good feeling there," Ricciardo said as quoted by
Planet F1.
“I’m really looking forward to embracing the French atmosphere and hopefully doing the team proud.
“I know it’s a significant race for them and how much it means to everyone involved."
