After being demoted to an ambassadorial role at Red Bull Racing, Sergio Perez seems to be opening a door to a return to motorsport.

In an interview with Mexican tyre and wheel company Prodynamics, Pérez looks to the next chapter of his career and refrains from making any hasty decisions.

"I have given myself six months to see what options I have to decide on the next step in my career.

"The doors are open in many places, so I want to give myself the time and space to make the best decision."

Sergio Pérez to Cadillac in 2026?

Cadillac is looking at the driver market and are currently evaluating their options ahead of their entry in 2026, but advanced talks with any driver have not been held yet.

In the coming months, though, the General Motors backed team will announce the driver line-up for their upcoming debut season. But currently their main focus is on developing the car that will run under the groundbreaking regulations that F1 is implementing next year.
