Haas team principal Gunther Steiner says the team finally have shown their true potential after an up and down 2018 season so far.
Kevin Magnussen scored good points at Paul Ricard, recording a sixth-place finish.
Steiner said afterwards that the team got some luck but that the result was finally evidence of where the team thinks they should be.
“To finish sixth, we’re very happy about it. We were a little bit lucky that Carlos (Sainz) had an issue there at the end, and a little bit unlucky with Romain because he got a penalty.
“Now, I hope we can keep this going as we finally have the car where it should be.”
Whilst Magnussen went on to score points,
Romain Grosjean finished outside the top ten on race day after a crash in qualifying left him towards the back of the grid.
