Yuki Tsunoda had to report to the
Formula 1 medical centre after qualifying for the
Hungarian Grand Prix, GPblog has learned. He is therefore unlikely to appear before various media after Saturday's race in Budapest. During qualifying, the Japanese driver caused a red flag at the
Hungaroring after he skidded off the track.
Lando Norris,
Oscar Piastri and
Max Verstappen had just set sharp times in Q3 when Tsunoda then crashed and caused a red flag. So after qualifying, the
Visa Cash App RB driver went to the medical centre. Tsunoda still indicated on Thursday that he would be the right man to drive alongside Verstappen at Red Bull.
It has since been confirmed that the Japanese driver is fine.
