Following the F1 race in Bahrain, the FIA Stewards applied several penalties which altered the results established as the flag dropped in Sakhir. These are the updated 2025 F1 Bahrain Grand Prix results.
The front-runners have nothing to worry about, even though George Russell was investigated after the race for opening the DRS button in an instance where he wasn't allowed to do so.
However, the Stewards dismissed the investigation given that the Briton was dealing with reliability issues with the electronic components in his car, originated by a brake by wire failure which affected his dashboard.
Thus the FIA allowed the team to instruct Russell to push a button that served as a back up to activate the radio, but also as way to manually activate the DRS, opening the rear wing slot in an instance where he was not allowed to do so, thus, a consequence of a countermeasure which yielded no sporting advantage resulted in no penalty.
Jack Doohan and Nico Hulkenberg suffered a different fate from Russell as the Australian received a 5 second time penalty after the race for track limits violations and the German was disqualified from the race results due to the FIA's Technical post-race inspections revealing excessive skid wear, well below the minimum measurement of 9mm prescribed in the Technical Regulations.
