At the Hungarian and
French Grand Prix, Mercedes was (suddenly) a factor again. The team seems to have found the way up.
A battle between three teams is good for the excitement.
Max Verstappen is also happy that rival
Lewis Hamilton and his team-mate
George Russell are at the front of the grid. "
It's good that they are competitive because then they can steal more points off Ferrari!" said Verstappen to
Sky Sports.
Verstappen currently has a comfortable 80 point lead over
Charles Leclerc. Only a miracle seems to prevent the Dutchman from winning his second world title. To lose such an enormous lead would be unique.
However, team boss
Christian Horner is still holding back.
"It is a very healthy lead but there is an awful lot of racing to go", he says. According to Horner,
Red Bull Racing could also suffer some scrapes. The team boss cites Verstappen's clutch problems in Hungary, which could just be a DNF.
