After two races with few points,
Max Verstappen won the
Belgian Grand Prix. Although it was not the full 25 points. Still, the Dutchman is happy with the half points handed out by the
FIA.
"We've had two races where we haven't taken many points, so we needed this result. We were competitive all weekend and that's important at a circuit like Spa with the long straights," Verstappen told
Verstappen.com.
After his home race in Belgium, the next home race of the Dutchman is immediately on the program, namely
Zandvoort. It is a new circuit for everyone, so it will be exciting again who will perform best here. Verstappen said in an earlier interview that he has not yet practiced much in the simulator.
"After this, we go to Zandvoort, which will be new for everyone and it's a question mark as to how everyone will perform there. We need to keep pushing and try to get back into the lead in both championships, but we still have a few races to do that. I'm sure we have a good car and we need to keep trying to get even more performance out of it." Hopefully, it will be dry enough to race at Zandvoort.
