Max Verstappen reported several issues during FP1 in Saudi Arabia. The Dutchman finished the session in ninth place. Verstappen shares problems with the RB21 again in FP1
Once again, Verstappen referred to issues with the balance of the car at the
Jeddah Corniche Circuit.
"It's still my first sector, like turn 1 and 2. I just can't turn the car," he told his team over the radio.
Gianpiero Lambiase, Verstappen's race engineer, then responded. "Look at entry exit compromise Turn 13, Max, back out of the entry."
To that, Verstappen answered: "I can't. I have no balance, basically."
Pierre Gasly set the quickest lap time during the first session of the Friday near the Red Sea. Verstappen's ex-teammate's lap times was a 1:29.239, as he marginally finished ahead of Lando Norris.
Verstappen finished in P9 with
new power unit components fitted in his Red Bull, with the fastest lap of 1:29.818.
