The GPblog Driver of the Day was won by
Max Verstappen by a large margin. The Dutchman showed in Hungary why he is currently the man to beat in
Formula 1 and the readers of GPblog saw that too.
Perfect day for Verstappen
With 79% of all votes, Verstappen won the GPblog Driver of the Day. After engine problems on Saturday, the
Red Bull Racing driver had to start from tenth place. It seemed almost impossible to win the Grand Prix on Sunday, as the
Hungaroring is a circuit that has historically been difficult to overtake.
The driver in second place in the Driver of the Day results is
Lewis Hamilton, who also finished second in the Grand Prix. The Briton drove a stellar race, finishing in second position from the seventh starting spot. He received 18% of the vote.
