Sebastian Vettel managed to snatch pole position from his teammate Kimi Raikkonen again, as the German hails his car that keeps on improving before his eyes.
"I wasn't just fast in the last sector, the whole lap was fast," the leader of this year's championship said after Saturday's action.
"The car felt so good and kept on getting better.
"In the first run I wasn't good enough yet and I made some mistakes too."
Vettel, who broke a seven-year streak of Mercedes grabbing pole position in China, is now looking forward to tomorrow's race.
"I'll need a good start, Kimi's starting position seems to have more rubber on it," Vettel concluded with a smile.
