Sebastian Vettel and
Charles Leclerc's coming together at the
Brazilian Grand Prix was the catalyst for a dramatic conclusion at
Interlagos. The prior is refusing to lay the blame at anyone's door due to the fact they both failed to finish the race.
In an incident described as
"silly" by Mattia Binotto,
Sebastian Vettel and
Charles Leclerc collided on lap 66 of the race leading to the pair's retirement. Both drivers were in contention for the podium before the incident which has relit the tension between the pair.
Throughout the season the pair have had controversy, with strategies, team orders and preference coming between them.
Despite both appearing to point the finger at one another in the immediate aftermath, Vettel has refused to blame anyone.
"It doesn't matter whose fault it is, because we both didn't finish the race. That is, of course, bad for us as a team," Vettel told
GPToday.net.
"I didn't send him in, because I just drove straight on. I didn't have much room on the right. I got out of the second corner much better, tried to pass him and that's it."
