With the mediocre performance of
Sebastian Vettel, there is not much moment to cheer for the German car racing talent at the minute. With
Mick Schumacher still maturing, the German
Mercedes team is the only thing that keeps the German glory in
Formula 1 high.
Nobody is going to argue that Vettel's performance is disappointing. Since the arrival of teammate
Charles Leclerc, we already see that Vettel is having a hard time. This year, however, the pressure seems to be too much. But is this entirely due to the German himself?

Ex motorsport boss of
Mercedes Norbert Haug can explain the decline of Vettel. In an interview with
SPORT1 the German explains that Vettel's downfall has more to do with the performance of
Ferrari, than the performance of the German himself. Haug also tells that he wanted to contract Vettel for Mercedes years ago when he was still driving with Toro Rosso, but was rejected. "How different the world would have looked now! Vettel with seven world championships at Mercedes?"
