Lewis Hamilton supports Arsenal FC and was often seen playing on a football pitch whilst growing up. According to Hamilton himself, his sister Samantha Lockhart supported the Gunners growing up and told him to join her.
Hamilton grew up some 30 miles away from Arsenal's ground in North London. Due to the support in his childhood, Arsenal invited Hamilton to play in a 5-a-side football match in 2015. He was joined by legends such as Thierry Henry and Jamie Carragher. Hamilton led one team, and Henry led another. The match ended up going to penalties after a 5-5 draw. Hamilton successfully scored his penalty, but his team lost the shootout overall.
Hamilton threw a spanner into the works and cast doubt on his Arsenal loyalty by showing interest in buying Chelsea. Hamilton explained this by showing his love for the biggest sports and biggest clubs. He also revealed that his uncle supports Chelsea.
