Williams appears to be out of financial trouble after a difficult period. Team boss and CEO Jost Capito says the team is "not actively looking" for a new title sponsor.
The British team was sponsored by Martini between 2014 and 2018 and by Rokit in 2019. However, since the acquisition of American investment company Dorilton Capital, the team has not had a title sponsor. However, the team did recently announce a new sponsorship deal with Duracell.
Following the launch of the new FW44 for 2022, Capito stressed that Williams will only work with a sponsor that aligns with the brand's "redefined" values. "We are not actively looking," said the 63-year-old German, according to Crash.net.
"We have redefined our brand," he continued. For example, there are several strict guidelines for the brand and any sponsor that comes forward must fit within the brand's current guidelines and strategy. "Dorilton gives us a free hand in the discussions. We can refuse because we don't believe the brand fits with what the Williams brand stands for, " concludes the Williams team boss.
