For Toto Wolff and Fred Vasseur, their statements during a press conference in Las Vegas may caused further problems. The Mercedes and Ferrari team bosses will have to appear before the stewards in Abu Dhabi for using "certain language".
During the media session, Vasseur went on quite a rant about the loosened cover, which wrecked Carlos Sainz's Ferrari. The Frenchman was subsequently furious about this and he showed it, for example, by using some swear words. Toto Wolff, on the other hand, thought that people should not complain so much about the problems the organisation faced in Las Vegas. Moreover, the Austrian got into a fight with a journalist, who in his view did not ask fair questions.
The stewards want further explanations from Vasseur and Wolff about their behaviour in Las Vegas. After all, the regulations state that Formula 1 must not be discredited. It is unclear whether and if so what sanction is hanging over the two.
