Red Bull junior driver Yuki Tsunoda is on the verge of joining
Formula 2 next season, according to the squad's advisor Dr.
Helmut Marko.
The Japanese youngster is currently participating in the Formula 3 world championship and he claimed his first win of the season at the weekend in Italy, winning the Sprint Race.
Tsunoda has impressed this season and his first win of the season saw him boast a podium finish for the third consecutive time. Speedweek report that Marko has hinted at the 19-year-old Red Bull junior driver taking part in F2 next season. The Japanese driver is also competing in the Euroformula Open Championship at the moment.
Fellow Red Bull junior driver Juri Vips is yet to have his future decided by the energy drink team. He's currently sitting P3 in the Formula 3 championship.
