I am really not sure about this contract situation. From what I have seen, McLaren tends to favor Lando more than Oscar(And I know that last year McLaren had prioritised Lando as he was fighting for WDC).01-04-2025 13:22

It is bit confusing when you say RB21 is at the ceiling of development when the car is currently 4th fastest. Can anyone explain this ? Also it would take a lot of mistakes from McLaren, if Max is to win this year. I don't think that will happen. Only thing that could spice up this year is if Ferrari and Mercedes somehow keep getting close to McLaren whenever they get chance.01-04-2025 05:55

Although Oscar is supremely talented, winning the WDC this year won't be easy. Even if we keep Max aside for a moment(although we can never count him out), Lando knows that this year could be his best chance for WDC. Next year, with all the regulation changes, you never know. Somehow i believe Max would be tempted to get out of this mess. He needs a car that helps him retain WDC. At the moment this is looking difficult, but we will see. Toto would be favorite to land him if he decides to leave Redbull.28-03-2025 14:47

This is stupidity of highest order. What were they expecting when they hired Lawson ? To fight for podiums ? He should have been given at least 10-12 races. Now there will be extra pressure on Yuki. Hopefully he is given the remainder of the season now.27-03-2025 10:12

McLaren is avoiding fireworks ??? Its only 2 races in the season. Let's see how they handle the situation when we are say 12-15 races into the season. If its only McLaren at the front till the end and both their drivers are near to each other in points then i am pretty sure McLaren are going to mess things up. The 'free to race' card will only be applicable if Max, the ferraris and mercedes are not fighting for win. But definitely Max and others will be there to snatch anything that the McLaren drivers throw away. They also need to remember that the strategy team with Max and the mercedes are still better that McLaren's. But i believe they will prefer Lando over Oscar for sure if things go down that way.26-03-2025 11:53
