Very critical of the officials who changed twice while the security car intervened, Olivier Panis would have preferred strict application of the regulation rather than illogical choices. "What the race direction did was ridiculous, ridiculous. Either this ends under safety because or all cars can go beyond safety because, the winner of the Monaco GP in 1996 again. It's still a breakdown as it is for the previous race. It's a kermesse that thing. I don't hope for a change for Verstappen or for Mercedes."21-12-2021 21:39

I don't think that toxic fans is a strong enough term nowadays. Why can't anyone support a team or sports person without having to call other drivers' names or send death threats when something goes against them. It's time that we all leave social media, and even these comment boards to the scum. None of the positives seem to outway all this negative stuff.21-12-2021 21:27

There won't be a punishment. There is no way that them not turning up was not part of the agreement between Mercedes and the FIA that saw the FIA rel3ase their statement and Mercedes withdraw their appeal.17-12-2021 18:49

I think that's the one thing we can all agree on.17-12-2021 19:21

"Any team that does not push the boundries is not trying hard enough. It's the job of the team principle to direct his/her employees to read what's not written in the rules rules and to exploit those gray areas to the fullest." Button isn't disagreeing with you, he knows this is how it works as he won his world championship with Brawn when they came up with the double diffuser after the last big regulation change.17-12-2021 19:14

Childish nicknames - tick Claim deliberate crashes when it's a million more times likely they were accidents - tick Claim FIA have been conspiring against Verstappen all year whilst conveniently ignoring the fact that if that was true, all they needed to do was to end the race behind the safety car as they had many times in the past. Looks like you missed the last typical Verstappen super fan comment off your list.17-12-2021 14:12

Before jumping on the Bernie Eccleston is great bandwagon, perhaps carry out a google search on him to find out why he may not be the greatest person in the world to agree with.17-12-2021 11:56

"FIA has a ruling which gives Masi to be the ultimate decision maker.......there are lots of power to the race control director that allows him to supersede many rules" There are plenty of lawyers who have already come out and said that interpretation of the rules has no basis in law. It would have been months before they could have gone to the appeals board, which would almost certainly have rejected it because its the FIAs own board. Then it seems that there is no easy way to actually get it ruled on by an actual court, and even if they could, it wouldn't even be heard until at least we'll into next season if not years after.17-12-2021 12:22
