What about last season, if it wasn't for the dubious ending LH would of beaten max. Over the season they had the fastest car at different parts, Max arguably had the better car overall and he only just pipped LH. LH hate is strong everywhere.18-05-2022 17:25

I have no doubt that as per, what toto has said will of been taken out of context. There's no doubt at the end of the season the Merc was rapid, but if you watched the whole season you'd know at certain tracks the redbull literally ran away with it. 20 seconds down the road, Merc didn't do that once if I remember correctly20-05-2022 13:14

Comments here are amazing, the lack of respect to ham is astonishing and the blinders that all max fans have on! The denial the redbull was faster or as fast last year at a lot of tracks.. is just wow ?07-03-2022 08:24

You make some interesting points but for me personally, I think anyone who doubts Ham natural ability would be lying to themselves or have a vendetta against him (Alonso). As for who's better out of Perez and bottas, I've always said that bottas is rapid over one lap yet sluggish in races and Perez is the opposite. He's not great on one lap but in race trim he's great, combine them together and you've got a world beater such as max, ham, alonso?? We don't know just yet. They're all extremely talented but only a handful have the whole package. For me you'd be hard pushed to separate max, ham, Russell, alonso, Norris and leclerc (on current form). Also, it's proven that the redbull and Merc this year have their favoured tracks which is why it's so tight and hopefully will go down to the last race! I'd love to see ham get his 8th, I think if he did he'd retire. However if max takes the championship it'll be absolutely deserved, he's phenomenal. But as I say, I think he'll know the threat of Norris and Russell coming through!15-10-2021 13:59

Make of it what you like. Vettel hasn't been the same man since those two seasons he battled Hamilton. Regardless of who you follow or support, you can't deny LH career, it's been said numerous times from his fellow drivers and ex drivers his brilliance, pace and race craft. Similar to max, and I'm sure Russell in the near future, they will be spoken of in the same high regard.. who knows someone may even break his records. Just can't understand blatant hate in F1, it's almost as petty as football fans ?28-09-2021 22:21

Ferrari and vettel should of beaten mercs for at least two seasons, had it not been for LH brilliance. You'd think he'd be a tad more respectful when they clearly have the best car and supposedly the quickest driver on the grid, yet LH is giving them a run for their money!28-09-2021 12:38

Regardless of who, what and when has happened, it's fairly ironic that Horner and max etc are calling ham or mercedes out for questioning their performance. Mercedes got questioned, Ferrari did, it's part and parcel of being the leading car. O don't care if redbull is the fastest, as long as it's legit, sonwjy should they be bothered.. if it is legit?!27-06-2021 21:46

Poor argument, Schumacher, senna, Alonso, none of them would of won in a poor car over a season. The best drivers are in the best cars, simple. Max has the absolute 100% protection, guidance, support etc from redbull, there is NO doubt of that. Even from the hardest max fan they have to accept that man gets everything he wants, he's up there with Schumacher in that sense. It's a pointless argument really, ham has the stats, races, poles and performances to back up his stats. End of the day, it's impossible to compare one driver from one era to the next, I just can't understand how people can't accept class in front of them. God forbid max doesn't win a world title, imagine?! A man with his skill and speed nothing is guaranteed in this sport. Max has world champion nailed onto him, he is phenomenal HOWEVER without the right car, team and support he may never become world champion (highly unlikely). But it is a possibility. You've got Norris, Russell, leclerc coming through nothing is guaranteed and opportunities need to be taken. Can't take it away from any driver who has.23-05-2021 20:08
