It's the copy writer of this article who uses the word 'forced'. It's click-bait! If none, or any of the teams disagreed, they could have stood up and argued the point. If you read Binotto's words, which forms the basis of this article, he does not express himself clearly at all, and the copy writer twist it to create anger09-08-2022 10:31

Correct, Star. A good and measured safety directive which will come in in 2023, so all teams have the ability to adapt. I'm sure we will now get all the Maxi fanboys filling the rest of this blog thread up with conspiracy theories and spinning the tired old line, the MB have their own spy in the FIA camp. They conveiently forget that ALL the teams, including RB gave their agreement. They were not forced or obliged to agree If we were to follow the maxi fanboys ridiculous argument to its logical conclusion, with all the engineers and technical staff joining RB from MB feeding back information to MB, why isn't the MB the fastest car on the grid?????? Hahahaha.... ???? **09-08-2022 08:53

There's no doubt Max has done a great job. Grown in maturity and judgement. He is now in the same territory and league as Lewis was in the last decade. We can now call him fast, and we can recognise his talent, but he will need to drive home years more of top results at this level in order to accord him accolades along with the true greats .. **06-08-2022 17:20

Then you agree with me. F1 is a team sport. Add aerodynamics, motor power, straight-line speed, team strategy, pits stop crew and reliability together and Max has overwhelmingly the best equipment in the business. He just needs to drive it home..... **06-08-2022 16:45

Wow, what ignorance. Astounding how you are happy to display your lack of understanding of F1 on a public blog site like this one Now that Max's car is in a different league to anyone elses on the grid, I expect you call Max's results 'pure driver skill' What a joke! Hahahahaha **06-08-2022 15:37

Yup! I've got a soft spot for Checo and see him as an capable and deserving F1 driver - comparable to Valtieri. He'd race the socks off any one of us on a race track on this blog without breaking into a sweat, so we need to applaud his talent and what he has achieved. He's not a god given talent like Lewis, or even Max, provided Max proves himself with consistent results over the next few years, but Checo is still capable of driving in an occasional P1, if the "boss" takes a break. **05-08-2022 16:11

Stand corrected, things have Indeed move on. But that doesn't change the thrust of my post. I'm not interested in naval gazing about RB or possible upgrades, but about how it will work out for RB and Max under Porsche ownership, because I don't think Porsche (VW are the biggest motor manufacturers in the world) are the sort of company to play 'sleeping partner' for very long. What do you think?05-08-2022 19:45

My comment is not about RB, so don't get defensive. I'm speculating on Honda's future in F1. Btw I don't think RB's change to Porsche PU's guarantees RB any kind of success. I think that they are chasing a significant financial stakeholding by Porsche at the expense of future success on the track. That was always Mateschitz 's plan - to convert the present success on the track into a huge profit on divestment. Hes' my neighbour, so I should know....05-08-2022 19:15
