If you think that’s what happened, then you don’t comprehend F1 and you would be better off in a Q-anon group.30-12-2021 09:10

He was ill before race. Plus his water bottle system didn’t work during the race so he was not able to hydrate himself. The race took a heavy physical toll on him.25-10-2021 06:30

What I hear Verstappen saying is, that it is not a faithful documentary. …and that it is edited for dramatic effect. I don’t think anybody can actually disagree with that. It is, after all, an entertainment product, not a news product. And as such, has no requirement to be faithful. Just think about how many films are made about historical figures which, upon review, show just the thinnest of attachments to veracity. ‘Drive to Survive’ will survive just fine without Verstappen‘s participation. It is a good entertainment product, and it has done great things for marketing Formula One. This 2021DTS should be the best because it has got a real sport story to tell and not just a bunch of personality vignettes as in the other ones. But the one that ought to worry about being portrayed as behaving badly, is Lewis. ….and Monaco where he publicly threw his teammates under the bus for the cars poor performance. It just gave more weight to his reputation as a whiner and complainer. Worse yet, is how they might portray his participation in the Silverstone crash. Too many of his post-race interviews revealed that his ego was a lot more involved than it should’ve been. By his comments, he changed it from simply an accident where he was found at fault, to a psychological event where he felt his manhood was at stake and he needed to make a statement. . He’s probably safe, though. It’s not likely that they would want to make him look bad. We are not there yet. ..23-10-2021 19:30

Yeah, I don’t think Max gives shit if the camera picked that up. You’re calling that a tantrum? Are you going for the exaggeration trophy? And, what I gather from the commentary is that it was Lewis that broke the etiquette, not Max.23-10-2021 19:05

Maybe if you dolled max up in a bit of lace and some platform heels, you’d find him more attractive.23-10-2021 19:01

he has managed to do so with the aid of the most dominant car F1 has ever seen. This is not to say he isn’t a top shelf driver, he definitely is. But even a top shelf driver on any other team would not have won against the Mercedes.(Though I sometimes think that if Hamilton,Verstappen,Ricciardo or Fernando had been in the 17/18 Ferrari, they might’ve been able to push it into championship contention. vettel and Kimi did not have the chops to fully exploit the Ferrari.)23-10-2021 01:07

He could’ve won 2007 with Hamilton. If the two of them hadn’t been dicks to each other, one of them would’ve won the 2007 championship. My money would’ve been on Alonso. In 2007, even though they tied on points,Fernando finished in front of Lewis on the track nine out of the 16 times they both finished the race.22-10-2021 21:40

Lewis is doing, and has done, very well with the most dominant car Formula One has ever seen.23-10-2021 07:09

and let’s see,…..how many championships would Lewis Hamilton have won in the hybrid era if he had been on another team, other than Mercedez? Hamilton is a fine driver, but even fine drivers don’t win championships without great cars. In Hamilton’s case, he had not just a great car, but a dominant car. So let’s keep things in perspective. No one has won in the Hybrid Era without a Mercedes.23-10-2021 07:15
