I don’t feel like it’s fair comment to make though, because I could say the same about Charles. Charles showed his wheel to wheel combat this year against max. He showed his pace in the wet in Monaco, absolutely running away from the field. He had the most dominant F2 season, ever. As for the “pointy” front end max needs, that’s what’s scary about Charles. He is always fast, no matter the car. He completely destroyed Vettel. It’s easy to think, that this Ferrari 100% suits him, but that might not be the case. I remember around Miami, everyone was saying how Ferrari is just the better car and it was down to max extracting something special out of the red bull. But instead, it’s the other way around. It’s Charles extracting something special out of the worse Ferrari. As evident by a dead average driver like Perez, succeeding occasionally. Sainz is definitely more of a talent than Perez, yet he barely comes within half a second of his team mate, and in Baku whilst Charles was holding back max, Sainz had slipped 5 seconds behind. The last person to have the same amount of wins to poles as Charles, was Senna. And I’m not saying Charles is Senna, I’m saying even one of the GOATS at one point had Charles’ pole-win ratio. Don’t write him off too soon, he could very well be more than a match for Max.16-06-2022 17:59

The red bull in race trim is in a class of one. Leclerc has shown that he is more than capable of dealing with Verstappen when the cars are more or less equal. As for Verstappen “outclassing” Leclerc in the “lower categories”..actually just karting. It’s hardly a fair comparison. Max always had the best equipment, years more experience. In fact in 2011 or 12 Charles didn’t even have a kart to race. People are seriously underestimating Charles.16-06-2022 13:10
