Yes, I made the same point a few weeks ago. I looked at all races and indeed, since 2019, Max has had at most two weekends in a year where he has a lesser performance or a mistake of his own that prevents him from getting the result warranted by the car. For Lewis, that’s 5 to 7 races in a year. Even in his best years. I’d be happy to re-share that analysis, but it was a very long post.04-09-2023 20:05

How can you not start to get bored of your own comments? Haven’t you been making your point 4407 times already? And did it change anything?05-09-2023 19:14

Fingers crossed! Loving your predictions so far!28-07-2023 18:38

See the other thread with the nice graphs, Lewis missed the podium due to his weak second stint (first rounds especially). He could have recovered from the poor start if his second stint had been as strong as his third.24-07-2023 18:56

So Hamilton missing the podium is not due to round 1, but due to the weak first part of the stint on the hard tyre. Also nice to compare Max’s first round of his final stint to everyone else.24-07-2023 18:51

He’s only 2nd because there’s no consistent competition, with Alonso, Hamilton, Norris being different challengers throughout the season.23-07-2023 20:06

Indeed such a horrible car; you need a half-god to take it to the finish line. ;)21-07-2023 14:36

And furthermore, I think a lot of anti-Max sentiments are rooted in the more reckless 2016-2017 years, when he made more mistakes. His consistency since 2018 has been recognized by many former drivers in their comments, but the above puts some statistics to the case.08-07-2023 00:02

The point is that I think if you want to compare top drivers who are in the fastest car, a good measure for comparison is to assess how often they didn’t optimize the result because of a lesser performance. And the you see a huge gap.07-07-2023 23:42
