FIA are brazen enough to ignore max crowding Lewis off the track, why do you expect merc to care about the spirit of the regulations? Just so you can come on here and say how good u feel about it? FIA should change the rules about engines, after all they penalise merc and not Redbull for parts failing. Hope next year Alpine, ferrari and mclaren are in the title fight. Then we can see who is the best of the lot and just how well max survives a close encounter with Fernando.19-11-2021 23:32

Redbull did it first. They just best the test hence a stiffer test introduced. If the merc wing does do what is alleged, then it still illegal as the redbull wing was even if it passes the test. Its a non argument to say the redbull wing was legal until the tests were changed.19-11-2021 16:44

Either u r smoking something potent or you wearing blinders and thick ear muffs. Where was Max the previous before the rules were changed to favour redbull?19-11-2021 16:59

After Mexico I was sure merc were in for a tough time and then came Brazil. Some dodgy stewarding, disqualifications and super fast merc at a Redbull track. Who knows what will happen next. I expect Redbull to throw the kitchen sink at it. Is somehow Lewis wins the next two and they are level on points going into Abhu Dabi, I expect a collision to settle this year title. Brazil has shown its ok to crowd other drivers off the track, a lesson they should not be reinforcing with a guy who is willing to weave in an attempt to stop an opponent from passing18-11-2021 08:34

It would appear merc are playing the system here by bringing in new engines instead of developing the car as Redbull are. They did it with Bottas who twitted a pic of himself with all those engines and are doing it with Lewis now. Whilst not in the spirit of the regulations RB are free to do it too. As for the championship, max can't possibly lose it now. I was worried for a bit in Mexico when he messed with bottas fastest lap, a fight he didn't need to pick (like the Ocon one in Brazil). That is the only way Max will lose. Redbull will bring updates and smash merc next time out, who will bring a new engine the following race. In essence merc are true to their word of focusing on next year's car whilst Rb are throwing the kitchen sink at this year. I wonder who will pay the price. This year's championship mirrors the last 7 years. One dominant team/car winning more than half the races and a second less dominant team picking up the scraps. Much lauded as this season is, it cannot hold a candle up to 2012. That was a true classic14-11-2021 14:52

Ah the great Jeremy Clarkson who thinks he has the right to punch people that work with him. The attitude that the American plantation owners had towards their slaves. If the issues that Hamilton is advocating make you uncomfortable you should be looking at yourself in the mirror and doing some soul searching. Whatever else George Floyd was, he still didn't deserve to die an avoidable death in the land of freedom equality and democracy where you are innocent until proven guilty or does that not apply if you are a certain colour. Police brutality in America is real and its undeniable that the majority of the victims are not Caucasian. Not everyone has to like Hamilton but he has a the right to use his status to highlight pertinent social issues and long may he continue to do so.01-11-2021 16:37

The blacks might dominate the NBA but who owns the teams? Am sure they are black owned? The issue here is about inclusion, real equality and equal access. The NBA teams openly (as I understand) pick who they think is best to play for them. They went through a period when only whites were allowed to play and that was the case with boxing as well and baseball (where they had the black leagues, not so eloquently called of course)01-11-2021 17:00

Well said. Unfortunately the Hamilton nay sayers on this site either do not comprehend what's going on or do and it scares them01-11-2021 16:42

Hamilton is only one man and can't fight all the fights. Let the other F1 drivers take up the slack on those fights. He is fighting a fight that has affected him and many other black people. If there should ever be an openly guy F1 driver I would expect them to come out full bore about issues that have affected them as they will have insider knowledge. Of course he is right to point out the issues in the western world where he lives after all we hear our political leaders banging on about issues in those shitty countries you mention yet their own backyard is full of crap and they are happy to sell arms to shitty countries. . In order to understand the duplicity of Western nations you have to look at the Rwanda situation in 94 and their protestations of isolated acts of genocide. Shitty countries indeed, would you care to look at the impacts our governments have on those countries before going on a high horse and calling them that?01-11-2021 16:52

Can't help but love Norris's attitude. Indeed why should he move over, the protagonists can move over if they like. Hope Max and Lewis understand that Norris means it, title be dammed. He did say it earlier in the season when leclerc backed off as max went off the circuit norris said he would have passed him. Right attitude too. Shame about the Russia result but his day will surely come02-10-2021 19:21
