He has a contract with Red Bull to 2028, with no provisions for wandering off and walking in the woods on sabatical included. He will not be going to Mercedes as long as they continue to suffer as they are now from cluelessness about their cars lack of performance. He won't be going to Ferrari, will not be attracted to Aston Martin, and has stated many times, he is happy where he is, and he has a winning team and car. I swear, the stupidity of F1 on-line reporting is destroying this sport. The real reporting contradicts all the speculation: https://apnews.com/article/formula-1-red-bull-verstappen-perez-f1-australia-85e732aaaeee8c2a491263674d70e19615-05-2024 22:18

Newey is not property of F1. He is unlikely to sign with anyone. He has already said no to Ferrari, and has expressed his intent to move on to a fresh challenge, particularly in sailing and sail boat design. He and his wife have both expressed he has interest in more vintage racing, which he has done for some time. The speculation that he quit Red Bull over some tawdry internal conflict or embarassment is all on the rediculous F1 media, particulalry this outlet. Newey will see his RB hyper car launched, ill have won more championships than any other designer, and has more money than he needs to live a comfortable life doing anything he wants. He will be putting F1 in his mirrors and moving on - as he has intimated and stated more than once - regardless of the deafness of little media pundits trying wring his name dry of every last click.15-05-2024 22:13

Bottom line is that if the accusations were indeed as serious as claimed, and that there was proof or real harm done, there would be no condition under which she would be put back in harms way with Horner. While she certainly had a case to complain of Horners flirty messages as inappropriate, they did not constitute the row and sensation the media has made of this. It appears that the employee, now named, was caught up in the medi storm of B.S which forced her hand into a series of statements and actions she now wishes to put behind her. F1 media has been pathetic in its making this into a blown up scandal, including ridiculous assertions that Verstappen, Newey, and Marko would abandon the team over (which has been debunked numerous time) Toto W. has played on this, as has Ferrari to keep the noise against RB up, but that is all it is, noise. F1 media as a whole is pathetic and incapable of reporting on the sport in substance, choosing in stead to play for clicks and subscribers by putting the sport aside for this daytime drama malarkey. The women involved here us due compensation - not from Horner or RB, but from every F1 medi outlet that has embarrassed her and the team with its insistence on pushing a scandal that is mostly fiction.05-04-2024 15:38

Ferrari will burn Hamilton down like they did Vettel and Alonso. It's now a team where champions go to have their careers ended. No championship, just close to it, tossed away by bad strategy calls, surprise component failures and internal conflicts that push the "Ferrari" way onto those who attempt to bring new thought to the table. Hamilton will retire in red, but not with another championship to show for it. Ferrari are also particularly bad out of the box when new rules roll through, so 26 is not going to be much fun for Lewis.03-04-2024 22:51

Wants the issue to be resolved privately... that's why she hired a PR firm and has made regular announcements as to the status of her actions and complaints in process. Now she just wants to go back to work? Where? Her position as Horner's PA? There is something going on here behind all of this that is not being made visible.29-03-2024 14:18

Red Bull has to be thinking that Max's loud mouth daddy will likely cause another conflict leading to pushing Max to another team. Sainz can and does win in the right car, and can chalenge, if not beat Max, something Perez cannot do reliably. So Sainz would be a great choice. Should Max or his daddy, or Marko decide to leave, or he retire or struggle with the '26 spec car, having two bullets in the gun is in order.26-03-2024 20:29

FWIW Goodwin Proctor handles thousands of pro Bono cases each year. She may have swapped to gain that representation at no cost. They have a presence in the UK and Germany.25-03-2024 16:55

Choosing to spend hundreds of thousands with lawyers and PR agencies does not1.) Establish a grievance is in fact great enough to justify the costs, or 2.) Place the defending party liable for the charges incurred. If she fails to prove, beyond reasonable dou t, that Horner has caused her grievous harm, or violated a law specifically (appears not, as she is not filing a criminal complaint, only civil) then she will simply be out all that money with zero to show for it. Her shifting from one law firm to another is likely founded on her original council indicating she was not in a position to win or that her claims were not great enough to pursue. So, she chooses to spend more, out of the country, which has no standing in Austria? Doesn't sound like this is going to wnd well for her, no matter how angry she is.25-03-2024 16:49

Quite the loaf of uninformed speculation. If RB cannot find a path to employ Newey within the budget cap, it is highly unlikely any other te will have a magic hat to fit his expense in either. The fact thT RB has a project specifically close to Newey, will keep him close, while the likes of Ferrari or Mercedes have no such project to draw his attention. In other words, there is no moment afoot for the 65 year old designer - except perhaps retirement at some point.13-03-2024 02:26

No driver is above the team. There are other potential drivers to put in the RB to replace Max, none with the baggage of Max's abusive daddy. While that might mean fewer total wins, the WCC could be secured with other drivers... So, best wishes to Max, his daddy and their Marko luggage.09-03-2024 15:47
