I reckon Jackie has just watched Rocky 3, and think Lewis needs the eye of tiger. Where’s Apollo Creed with a training montage when you need it???31-08-2023 10:48

I thought for the rear wing it was more tricking the measurements that was the problem. So the flex is within the fia test, but under real world conditions the part moves by more than the regulations intend. Same for the front wings here? Agree with everyone saying that should not be making changes mid season as the regs should be fixed, unless safety is found to be a concern.30-08-2023 17:16

Not saying you are wrong but can 4500 be correct? With the budget cap would be less the 5k salary each?16-08-2023 15:57

Hi JEM, agree with you about Max’s talent and dedication - something all elite sports people have to go through - I’m by no means trying to detract from that. The difference is the starting point and barriers to entry. I don’t see any reason a woman should not be able to drive an F1 or have the dedication to do so. But that needs support to reduce the gap in opportunity and have the interest to do it.15-08-2023 17:02

To throw an alternative view point, the problem is the opportunities for female drivers to rise through the ranks. Max was able to join at 17 becuase of the opportunity his fathers F1 background afforded him. Motorsport in general is male dominated, the point should be making grass roots more accessible for young to allow an equal opportunity for them to progress their talent. However, should not be about having a token woman in the field!15-08-2023 11:06

Link to another article where he points to the poeple who regulate the sport to do more to make the racing closer… https://racer.com/2020/08/30/hamilton-understands-fan-restlessness-over-mercedes-domination/ Last post from me on this thread, I’m not going to argue on here all day but you are posting to the effect that Hamilton never mentioned Mercedes being dominant, when clearly he has. Toto and Hamilton are not the same person so not sure what that matters in terms of hypocrisy? Viewership I have no idea so I’ll take your word for it, I will say for me personally I’d want to see more challenge for 1st place, but at the moment the rest of the field is keeping me interested.15-07-2023 12:04

To be fair Hamilton has made these comments both before Mercedes had its dominant years, then during them and now after… a quick google shows in 2015 he talked about how good it was for the team but not for the fans. This is fair to say now as it was back then, not really “such a hypocritical comment”.14-07-2023 23:02
