I think it wasn't just luck, I would say that he was expecting a red flag and that was his smart move to stay out. If you listen post race press he said that conditions were really bad at the moment and that some drivers decide to pit and they (the team) decided to stay out and he said "it was a red flag situation" with so much water on the track and his only goal was to keep it on the track. From this I can assume that he was expecting a red flag and the best move was to just wait.04-11-2024 14:02

Why 20sec? Turn 4 situation is the same as russels last week with botas. Both (rus and max) kept it inside track and it was very hard to determine which car is first at the apex. Russel got 5sec and Max 10sec. That is not fair. Also turn 8 was crazy move but it was classic divebomb and from when that is 10sec? In austria people were pushing (ham with albon and perez) other drivers into gravel and it was always 5sec.28-10-2024 00:17

Also Vettel and Hamilton 2018 same situation and what annoyed me is that media won't show that as argument that Max really give space to Lando and Lando could move his car more to the left (he is not obligated but he could) but if that is shown then Max wouldn't be the ultimate enemy03-07-2024 13:08

But he did not beat him. Max was faster in qualification (55sec and yuki 58sec) and later in the race his car broke down so yuki "won" because of that.28-06-2023 10:00
