Verstappen has once again dealt a swift blow to Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes in the title race. The Dutchman has now won three races in a row and won four of the last five. Hamilton has not reached the top step of the podium in the last five races and is therefore far behind in the standings.

Hamilton tried to take the point for the fastest lap in Spielberg, but nobody could match Verstappen's time. With a 1.06.200 he was one and a half seconds faster than number two Carlos Sainz, and almost two seconds faster than Hamilton. Take a look at the lap that was worth one extra point.
