While all eyes were on the crash at the front of the field, plenty happened further down the grid.
Lance Stroll was unable to stop his car in time and hit
Charles Leclerc.
Stroll makes mistake
For Stroll, it was immediately the end of the race. The
Aston Martin driver climbed on the side pod and floor of Leclerc's
Ferrari. The
Ferrari continued for a few hundred metres, but had to retire at turn 2.
The last driver to be hit in the second incident was
Daniel Ricciardo, but the Australian seems to have got away well. Despite his
McLaren being on the track backwards, he is still able to continue his journey.
