This is what Verstappen said in 2019 about Senna and Prost's decisive collision

Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton both have a chance to become world championship this weekend while the rivalry between them and their respective teams is bigger than ever. Verstappen is automatically world champion if both drivers fail to cross the finish line, and a previous video of the Red Bull Racing driver from 2019 shows that such a scenario is indeed possible.

A video from 2019 shows various drivers reacting to the incident between Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost during the 1990 Japanese Grand Prix. The race was marred by a collision between the two rivals, which decided the world championship. Senna became world champion for the second time after both drivers were unable to complete the race due to damage to the cars. In 1989, another collision between the two resulted in championship success for the Frenchman.

Verstappen and Pierre Gasly watch the video just like Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris. In response, the Dutchman asks Gasly, "What would you have done in this scenario?" He admits that he would have done the same after which the Dutchman says: "I mean why not?". Should we expect the same situation in Abu Dhabi?

Max has been trained to cheat by Jos, and Redbull have perfected the art of cheating, they're the perfect match. Thats why Pérez on every interview looks he needs to go to confession.

Red Bull need to send Perez in to back of Lewis car and end it. (payback for Hungaroring)

Floyd 07 December 2021 at 16:28+ 1219

Saying that is childish, is insulting.. To children. Grow up.

Lox 07 December 2021 at 15:28+ 689

Max could learn a thing or 2 from Hamilton on how to take someone out and be the innocent one.

Floyd 07 December 2021 at 15:33+ 1219

Don't be silly. Lewis has his faults but inappropriate driving certainly isn't one of them, much as RB, Verstappens, Marko and Horner want you to believe.

Lox 07 December 2021 at 15:39+ 689

Don’t you be silly Horner, Makro and Max don’t make me believe anything I’m an adult and make my own decisions and opinions and yeah mate Hamilton has on many occasions shown he can pull off dirty tricks, it’s the one thing all you fan boys miss that the majority of F1 drivers have made questionable decisions the only problem is none of you can see it when it’s your driver

Floyd 07 December 2021 at 16:25+ 1219

He isn't my driver. I follow F1, I don't need to Hero worship any one driver. They are both fantastic drivers with skills we can hardly imagine. Unfortunately one of the drivers, being egged on by fans, management, his dad is over stepping Mark in a vain attempt to compete against a faster team. All the insults, shouting, cries of bias, calling folk fan boys make no difference. Max has over stepped a mark. He has lost my respect. I see it as cheating. If any driver behaved same, I would feel the same. Max wanted Lewis to shunt into back of him, Max pushed Lewis off track, Max reentered track illegally. He should be docked a point, in interests of a safe race. If chance presents itself, we all know full well Max will take the pair out. Lewis would not. (even if it won him championship) Fact. Even the most bias max fan can see that. It's called cheating.

LH has his own signature move to maximize the impact and minimize the penalty.

As the superior driver Max is the deserving WC this season. 14 of the other drivers agree. Who's to argue with that?

Floyd 07 December 2021 at 14:16+ 1219

Have you been asleep for past 6 weeks. You must have missed races where Max was taught a driving lesson by Lewis, or when max having got 4 tenths up in quali was such a great driver he hit wall.. Yep, he's fast alright. But as Lewis has shown time and time again... There is just a bit more to it than being fast and too aggressive.

Silverstone no more to say that Hami made an move that could have cost a live.

Floyd 07 December 2021 at 14:00+ 1219

Why not? Because it's cheating. As I,ve posted before Max should be docked a point to prevent him doing this. If Lewis then goes and does it, point reinstated. Neither of them should collide if there is any possibility of not doing so. I really think that's exactly scenario Max wanted in his "not accelerating/braking fiasco.". Its a bit bad when we know fill well with all the cries of bias from Jo's Verstappen, Horner and Marko that Max feels aggrieved enough to see this kind of behaviour as fair.. Really think, although season has been immensely entertaining, it's being ruined by all the bickering, mud slinging and bias claims by RB and their followers. Was obvious from lap 3 at Saudi Merc had fastest car/driver. If were not for all the stops, restarts, shenanigans and cheating Lewis would have walked that race. RB should be ashamed of themselves. Never thought I, d see day in F1 when team contemplated cheating... Openly.. Yep, agreed Schumi overstepped mark (parking car during quali) but running folk off road, causing crashes at 150mph...not on. Its ruining it.

The odds on a "Coming Together" are extremely high given that a double DNF suits Max. He'll need to make it stick though, just saying.... Maybe it's the only way to reign in the "Rocketship"

Floyd 07 December 2021 at 14:11+ 1219

You mean make sure car is fully disabled and he gets away with it. Condoning, advising cheating. As for only way to compete with rocketship. A) They are allowed to build faster cars. That's the nature of the sport. B) At Saudi RB had faster car over half the circuit. Merc over other.. That was effect of tyres. Max on mediums. Lewis on Hard. But max trying to take advantage of his free tyre change wore his tyres out.. So Lewis was faster, because he was on hards and because nobody can preserve tyres and still put lap times in like he can.

DIVERGENT 07 December 2021 at 12:52+ 9887

Everything is on the table. Merc have done it two times and Pirelli once(The only reason why they are even in this fight). It's time to return the favour.

Kevin Shah 07 December 2021 at 12:49+ 47

Why not? At the end people will remember the champion. No-one remembers the runner-ups.

Varvara Kontseventko 07 December 2021 at 14:55+ 616

That was when social media wasn't a thing you f. Max will forever be known as the greatest cheater to have ever driven in F1 if he does anything similar. Also he will be disqualified, no doubt about that.

ruifaf 07 December 2021 at 14:59+ 93

I'm not so sure about the disqualified part, the FIA are doing its best to have a champion other than Lewis. Its good for business, the public will get more interested if that happens

For us, lewis is the dirtiest driver of all time. Check the intensity of his deliberate accident which send max to hospital. Absolutely disgusting

@SUPERMAX +45107-12-2021 14:55 Or how he Knocked his teammate Rosberg out when he was about the become World champion(it did'nt help as Rosberg did win, but still) People have already forgotten about Hamilton but he isn't any better, maybe now because he's more experienced but that's it.

Hmm..interesting, to me Merc are the biggest cheaters with a very unlikely 0.5s performance boost between Mexico and Brazil and ever since! I mean...thats not something that 'just happens' ? Not even talking about their rear wjng, the flexible front wing and all the other antics they pull!

Charles345th 07 December 2021 at 17:04+ 4784

Due to your post,... you will be known as a nitwit..not having a clue of the world turning.

Vish 07 December 2021 at 14:55+ 14459

Well this is what VER has tried in Saudia, his whole strategy was to qualify on pole and make sure to stay in front at any cost. This is why right from FP VER asked to set up the car for quali and ran so much on soft tires
