De Grand Prix van China kenmerkte zich door bandenmanagement. Oscar Piastri reed zonder problemen vanaf pole position naar de overwinning. Waar McLaren de afgelopen twee races domineerde, heeft Red Bull Racing een moeilijke wagen. Daarbij komt ook nog dat Liam Lawson niet naar behoren presteert.
