Rain and thunderstorms could play an important role during the Grand Prix weekend in Mexico. Forecasts from Weather.com show that changeable conditions are on the cards.
Summery scenes are not to be expected in Mexico this weekend, according to Weather.com. Friday should be the best day of the weekend, but separate thunderstorms are also scheduled for that day. The chance of rain is 39 per cent and the maximum temperature will be 26 degrees.
Saturday and Sunday conditions are even worse. On Saturday, temperatures drop to 24 degrees and thunderstorms are scheduled in the afternoon. In addition, the chance of rain increases to 56 per cent. On the day of the race, that chance of rain decreases slightly to 42 per cent, but the temperature and afternoon thunderstorms remain the same.
The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez is already normally known as a slippery track on which it feels like you are go-karting. Should it indeed rain this weekend, the drivers' qualities will only be tested even more in wet, slippery conditions.
