After the 2018 season, Alonso left his then employer after lesser years with engine supplier Honda and, in the final season, a Renault power unit. He opted for an adventure in the
WEC (World Endurance Championship) and there Bravi has seen Alonso really change.
"He is now a big 'badass' again (in the good sense of the word) and he has a huge desire to show his qualities, it's like he is a 'rookie' driving his first year in F1. This year, he has a competitive car at his disposal with which to show how good he is. He is a champion. You don't win two world titles in F1 if you don't have certain attributes. It's a pleasure for me to watch him. We are happy with our drivers, but I cannot hide the fact that Fernando is one of the best drivers in F1 and that has to be recognised," said the 48-year-old Italian.
