Vettel and Bottas are options for Renault, but: "We want absolute dedication"

Renault has to look for a new teammate for Esteban Ocon for next season. Fernando Alonso has already been mentioned several times, but Sebastian Vettel and Valtteri Bottas also have a chance to join the French team.

Team boss Cyril Abiteboul tells us that he thinks complete dedication to the team is the most important thing. "Valtteri is a driver who has given Hamilton some problems with poring, but he still has a lot on his march and wants to prove himself", Abiteboul says to L'Equipe.

"Vettel is a 'free agent' and if he is motivated enough to continue, he could also be interesting for us", continues the French team boss. However, Abiteboul does not forget the Renault-Academy: "For coming seasons we have several options, there are some drivers we really believe in. But until December we don't know which way it will go, because that's when the F2 season ends."

"The team needs an experienced driver who is able to move the project forward with good motivation. We don't want to be the last choice, we want someone who binds himself to us with absolute dedication", Abiteboul ends.
