Like Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez is looking forward to racing in Australia again. The Red Bull Racing driver thinks it is a nice place to race and further states that he is confident that luck will come his way after bad luck in the Grands Prix of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

At the Bahrain International Circuit, Perez was driving in third place when he had to park his car by the side with the same problem that Max Verstappen had to deal with a few laps earlier. Two weeks ago in Jeddah, the Mexican was leading when he was first into the pit lane. A lap later, however, the safety car came out, causing him to fall back and join the line in fourth place.

From bad luck to happiness

"It has been so close in the races so far and the Team and I have been unlucky at times, but I am confident that my luck will change this weekend. We have a strong package this season and I can’t wait to get in the car again to see what we can do!" states Perez in Red Bull Racing's preview.

The veteran retains fond memories of his previous appearances at Albert Park. "It is great to be back in Melbourne after two years away, it is always a fun place to race. The fans are always great and I am sure they are very excited to have Formula 1 in Australia again. This year the track layout is new so it will be interesting to see how this fresh generation of cars gets on there. I did some simulator work at the beginning of the week on the track and I think the changes should be good for the show," he concluded.
