With his teammate hampered with penalties, Sergio Perez looks like the main man this weekend and with the fastest time in FP3, there's every chance he could be in for another win . A dominant display from Red Bull and the Mexican confirmed their place as the main force this weekend. Carlos Sainz managed a strong P2 with Norris in P3.
On a gloomy, muggy morning in Spa it was time for the final session before qualifying and a chance for all of us to catch a real idea of the true pace of the cars.
In the early running, the order didn't look like its usual self. Within the top 5, Alex Albon and Lance Stroll put their cars up the order and stayed there. Stroll who has been fast all weekend once again showed the rest of the field that this weekend could be his chance to put his Aston Martin up the grid. But as the session wore on, the big boys came out to play.
Up until the 30-minute mark, there was no sign of either of the Ferrari drivers but when they eventually made their way out, their predictable steady pace was evident. All weekend they've suffered with a vast deficit to the Red Bull in a straight line and again today it seemed that the Bulls still have that advantage. Aside from a late dive into the gravel trap from Leclerc, their session was as predicted. Sainz managed a decent P3 with Leclerc in P7
For other teams, however, things were not quite as satisfying. Mercedes, fresh off a brilliant end to the first part of the season have struggled all weekend to find their sweet spot. And once again today things were not as smooth as they would have wanted. George Russell could only manage P6 and Hamitlon was even further down in P12. Not the session they were hoping for, before qualifying later today.
With Qualifying just an hour away it looks certain that Red Bull will be on top this weekend but Ferrari will be hoping that they can cause an upset and shake up the order.
