Former F1 chief Bernie Ecclestone believes that Lewis Hamilton is "fed up" and is not at the level he once was. The four-time champion is yet to win a race in 2018 and hasn't won a race since last season's United States Grand Prix, a run that stretches back 187 days.
Ecclestone told Sky Sports that he doesn't believe that Hamilton has the same hunger he once did and that he might be becoming tired of the sport.
"He doesn't seem to be the Lewis that he was before.
"I don't know whether it's me - but when you talk to him and see him act the way he acts generally, he's not the racer he was.
"He's still very quick, still super talented, still a super nice guy.
"But maybe he just getting a little bit tired of travelling and he's fed up with things."
The Mercedes driver is currently out of contract at the end of this season and is yet to pen a new deal with the reigning champions prompting speculation that despite what both parties say, Hamilton could be looking at his future outside of Formula One.
