Silverstone comes up with unique apartments on the edge of the circuit
- GPblog.com
Silverstone is in the process of expansions to the track. After a major renovation completed in 2011, which saw the construction of an entirely new pit complex, it is now the turn of the track's exterior. In fact, luxury apartments will be built there.
Apartments along the circuit
Silverstone will have a new look at the edge of the circuit in May 2023. Sixty luxury apartments will be built between the Copse and Maggotts corners. The project, called Escapade Silverstone, will allow buyers to own a piece of Silverstone itself.
"We’re building a community that shares a collective lust for performance, speed and great machines," says Will Tindall, CEO of Escapade Living, on EscapadeLiving.com. According to Tindall, Escapade Silverstone is fully integrated into the circuit which should provide an authentic experience.
Silverstone on the calendar
Silverstone was the venue for the very first Formula One Grand Prix in 1950. The circuit alternated with the Aintree and Brands Hatch circuits from 1955 to 1986 to host the British Grand Prix, but has been a fixture on the calendar since 1987.
