Verstappen holds back: 'Impossible to judge'

Max Verstappen sat in his new RB18 for the first time this week to prepare for the new season with Red Bull Racing. Although the Dutchman experienced some problems with the car, a positive impression remains with him above all.
The Austrian racing team opted to have Max Verstappen in action throughout Wednesday, while Sergio Perez' s turn was on Thursday. Both drivers alternated on Friday, giving them equal time to get used to the new car and collect data for the team.
Despite the new regulations, the expectations for Verstappen are high. The Dutchman impressed last season by collecting the most points to win his first world title. However, Verstappen is keen to win the world championship again in 2022.
Verstappen doesn't dare say much yet
However, he finds it difficult to say where the team currently stands. "Where we really stand is impossible to judge after the test in Barcelona," he revealed in an interview with Speedweek.com. "The main thing is that everything went more or less smoothly. I'm impressed with the balance of the vehicle, but I also know that everything will be different again in Bahrain."
