Romain Grosjean says he is happy that his former teammate at Haas F1 has been given a second chance at the team. Although the IndyCar driver is happy for the Dane, he admits that he himself would not have returned to Formula 1.

Return of Magnussen

In the latest YouTube video from Grosjean, he discusses Magnussen's unexpected return to Haas. The Dane returned to the American team after a season away from the sport following the dismissal of Nikita Mazepin just before the 2022 season begins.

Grosjean says he is happy for his old teammate. The Frenchman admits that they have not always been the best of friends, but that they get along well. Grosjean says he received many questions from fans on social media about whether he would return to Formula 1 as well. His answer is simple: "I would not."

Winning in America

"I’m really happy in the United States and I’m really happy in IndyCar. I am so excited every weekend that I can go in a race and get a shot at the win," Grosjean says. The Frenchman came close to his first win in America several times in 2021, but currently has to make do with two second places as his best result.

Grosjean goes on to say that he is satisfied to have driven Formula 1, but that it is now time for another class. "It was such a huge part of my life, but right now I’m on tot he next chapter and the next chapter is about winning races and trying to win a championship," he concludes.
