Norris gives Red Bull best marks: 'They are downplaying themselves'

The Formula One season gets underway in Bahrain this coming weekend. Where Lando Norris with his McLaren can hope to compete for the world title in 2022, he expects Red Bull Racing to be the most on track. He tells this in conversation with the BBC.
Because of the new rules that apply in 2022, there may be changes in the relative strengths of the teams. McLaren seemed to have a good chance to be among the top teams before the season, but during the test days the team did not leave an indelible impression.
Norris looks up to Red Bull
However, it does not at all mean that McLaren cannot fight for the world title this season. It remains to be seen whether the team will be able to perform well this weekend. Taking the pressure off himself and the team, Norris argues that Red Bull is the biggest contender to win the world title, followed by Ferrari.
"I would go with Red Bull at the minute but Ferrari are definitely the closest after that," Norris states. "They are downplaying themselves massively, as they would. But consistently in every single run they've done since the first lap in [the first test in] Barcelona, they've been basically at the top."
